CAD/CAM is short for Computer Assisted Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing. This translates into Russian as "computer modeling / computer-controlled production."


This technique is the most modern computer technology for modeling and milling denture frameworks.

Feature of CAD/CAM technology

This technology is perfect, it makes it possible to avoid errors caused by the so-called "human factor" almost completely. According to this technique, a three-dimensional modeling of the product is preliminarily performed using a computer, which is then manufactured on a milling block.


CAD/CAM technology is suitable for creating one-piece ceramic and metal fixed prostheses of various types: crowns, veneers, abutments, etc. This method is devoid of the usual disadvantages of previous technologies: shrinkage, deformation, overheating of the metal, the presence of pores and non-shedded areas.
